Dr. Collier Pace, MD, FACS is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon serving the Greensboro area since 2020. As the founding physician of Greensboro Plastic Surgery, Dr. Pace sought to create a practice environment that would reflect his own quality standards and attention to detail. Dr. Pace is the type of person who straightens the rug to line up with the lines of the hardwood floors. If a picture frame is crooked, it bothers him. He wants everything to be perfect! Character traits like this led him to a career in plastic surgery, and have allowed him to meet and exceed expectations.

He attended Washington and Lee University where he graduated Magna cum laude with a degree in Neuroscience. Medical school followed at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. During medical school, Dr. Pace received numerous awards including The Commonwealth Award, The Nervous System Award, The Physiology Award, The Aesculapian Award, and The VCU School of Medicine Summer Research Fellowship. He received a Jason Arthur Scholarship and received a Joseph Collins Foundation Scholarship for his efforts to continue to incorporate study of the trumpet while in medical school. Dr. Pace was also inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After medical school, Dr. Pace stayed at Virginia Commonwealth University for his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency. Residency honors included the Lazar J. Greenfield Award, The American College of Surgeons Virginia Chapter Humanitarian Grant for his mission work in Vietnam, and the S. Dawson Theogaraj Scholarship award three times. Residency was followed by a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at Southern Illinois University.

Dr. Pace has authored numerous book chapters and academic articles, while also presenting his work at regional and national meetings. Internationally, he has collaborated with Plastic Surgeons in Hue, Vietnam, and participated in mission trips to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Honduras. Dr. Pace remains an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the American Association for Hand Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Pace grew up in central Florida. His parents still own and manage Big Shark – Daytona’s Largest Gift Shop. Dr. Pace is married to Dr. MaryEllen Pace, who works with Alliance Urology in Greensboro. They have two young children who are extremely active! The Paces moved to Greensboro after Dr. MaryEllen Pace completed her service to the Air Force and they have fallen in love with the community. They feel so fortunate to have found such a great place to raise their children!

Dr. Pace prides himself on taking the time to connect with each patient he sees. He believes patients need to be encouraged and empowered to communicate their goals, educate themselves, and be presented with a range of suitable options to achieve their desired outcome. In general, he will typically start by discussing less invasive options, and work forward from there depending on the needs of the patient. He aims to create lasting relationships based on clear and honest communication, and delivering on the expectations he sets. Furthermore, Dr. Pace recognizes the importance of an office that is easy to interact with from a patient perspective. He prioritizes the quality of the office staff and strives to create a practice environment where patients enjoy themselves!
