What to Expect on the Day of Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery
When you come in for your surgery, our goal is to make your BBL feel as comfortable as possible and produce the best results. Your Brazilian Butt Lift will be performed under general anesthesia, so you should be very comfortable.
Once sedated, liposuction will be performed via tiny incisions in the agreed-upon areas of your body, leaving these locations contoured and slimmer.
Then, the extracted fat will be processed and purified for injection into your buttock area to give it a fuller, rounder look. Once the desired shape is achieved, the incisions are sealed with stitches and the gluteal area is wrapped with a dressing, topped by a compression garment.
Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery
After surgery, you will be monitored in our recovery room until Dr. Pace decides that you are safe to be discharged. You will need a family member or friend available to drive you home in case you are still feeling some of the effects of sedation. It is common to see bruising and swelling and experience minor discomfort after the procedure. To support your buttocks and to minimize swelling, you will be advised to wear a compression garment. It’s essential to follow Dr. Pace’s post-operative instructions, including proper wound care and restrictions on sitting or lying directly on your buttocks for a certain period. You may gradually return to your normal activities as instructed, and with the proper rest and care, you should return to full activity in about eight weeks.
